What to do in Olympic Village

With the recent development in Olympic Village, it's really starting to feel like the new beating heart of Vancouver. I live in Olympic Village and love it. If you're thinking about moving into the area, or just visiting, I have some recommendations on what you can enjoy.

Looking for some eats?  Lounge on the massive patio and enjoy the views at Tap & Barrel. Or taste the beer samplers at Craft while enjoying the barn-like buzz.

Craving something a bit more relaxed? Check out the patio at Terra Breads, the pizzas are delicious and because they are licensed, you can enjoy beer and wine as well.  Picnic in the park? Pick up some goods at Urban Fare and sit on a jetty of rocks or a park bench and people watch along the sea wall.

Food Cart fest starts June 22nd as well. It is a gathering of over 20 of Vancouver’s top Food Carts presented by Arrival and The Streetfood Vancouver Society.  Open every week in the Summer for food, fun, and sun complemented by community markets, live music and DJs, craft food vendors, kids activities, and more. Located here, hungry anyone?

If you're looking for something on the active side, you can always run the sea wall or pop into Creekside Kayak Rentals to take a spin out on the glassy water. Single kayaks are $20 and hour and doubles are $35 an hour, they also offer lessons

Want to get out on the water? Jump on the Aquabus of False Creek Ferries and get where you need to go or enjoy a mini-cruise with the whole fam.
